Polishing Your Car Professionally
We’ve seen it before, wax buildup stuck around and in edges of doors, moldings, and emblems. That chalky appearance means that the vehicle has been polished rapidly and sloppily. Before you set out, you assess the cleanliness of the vehicle. If the only particles are dust, then air blowing will remove 80 percent of it. Once you squeeze the excess water out, the cloth should not drip, or it will leave spots on the finish as well as water streaks. The same method is used as the tack rag, long strokes but turn the rag more often to a clean side.

The 3M 05990 hand Glaze lasts for only 1-2 days. The finish leaves an absolute superior wax job that is used for show work. Whichever of these waxes you choose will be applied the same way as outlined here. In the refinishing business we use this product because it has no silicone like wax which can contaminate a paint shop with fish eye problems.
Remember that this does not last as long as wax does and the excess is wiped of much easier than extra wax is. Squeeze a fifty-cent piece-sized amount onto the Sontera cloths. Apply the glaze with minimal pressure and you will see how simple it is for molding or emblems to get buildup in the cracks versus the taped areas.
All you have to do is get a few more dry cloths and keep on wiping until you’ve removed all of the residue. The paint is going to show you a gorgeous reflection. You can use this product to blacken your tires and give them a new look without giving them a fake, shiny look like other products will do. As paint requires cleansing beforehand so do tires. Using some of cloths previously used on the painted surface water wipe them down just past the treads.
If you really want your care to shine take the tires off and thoroughly clean the treads before moving on to the next part. No detail is too small for attention, and just one example is that for a show, after detailing the tires, we wrap them in plastic and once the car is unveiled at the show, we cut the plastic away so every groove of the tire treads are perfect. Apply tire gel evenly and liberally as the foam block applicator works and the tires are very porous. Use a dry cloth to take off any residue. Touch up if needed.
Following these suggestions will bring you the best results. It will take approximately 2 hours of continuous work to accomplish this with the typical vehicle.
